MEET NELLY!

This truly amazing shelter survivor is an "old soul" ... one look into her eyes and you can see her past, her loving and forgiving nature, her appreciation for any kindness shown her.

In the shelter, Nelly captured the volunteers and staffs' hearts .. and she has charmed her foster mom as well.

Nelly is a LOVEBUG ... she LOVES belly rubs, she LOVES food and treats, she LOVES anything soft ... cushions, sheets, blankets (she will drag a "blankie" around if allowed). She LOVES resting her head on your lap. She LOVES her leashed walks. She LOVES sitting outside with her person, and she also LOVES doing occasional zoomies, (which is so cute to watch.)

And she LOVES gazing into your eyes and giving thank you kisses on your nose!

Nelly's ideal home would be one that loves and cares for her of course. A home committed to her for life (we promised her that!). A quiet home that will give her the routine she craves and calm, assertive leadership that makes her feel safe. She is doing great with the other resident dog and we feel she can be with another dog (with intros of course) or she will do fine as solo!

Nelly does have skin issues which are resolved; she is almost completely healed from the prior neglect she suffered.

She is about 5 yrs old and weighs about 60 lbs. She is utd and spayed. She is very house trained (not one accident).
